BIG BASS SPLASH

A field dossier on the fishing slot that turns every fish into a cash figure

Big Bass Splash, catalogued for the reader who wants the brief before the reel spins.

Reel Kingdom's fishing slot runs on five reels and three rows, and it is built around a single mechanic worth understanding before anything else: every money fish that lands can be collected during free spins, at a value set independently of the base bet's small change.

This dossier sets out the confirmed specification — RTP, money symbol values, the retrigger ladder and the buy-in cost — in the same register a printed games column would use.

Big Bass Splash keeps its promise simple: fish are cash. Every fish-shaped paying symbol doubles as a MONEY symbol, and whichever value it is carrying at the moment it lands stays live until a wild collects it during free spins. That is the entire engine of the game, and everything else — the scatter respins, the modifiers, the retrigger ladder — exists to decide how many of those fish you see and how long you get to catch them.

The correspondent's note below runs through the mechanics in the order a first-time player meets them, then closes with the reference table an editor would keep pinned above the desk.

01

How the reels are built

The game grid is five reels by three rows, paying left to right on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel — the standard read for this style of fishing slot, and the one this dossier assumes throughout.

Regular symbols cover the fishing tackle set — a red pickup truck splashing through mud, a bronze fishing hook and tackle, a blue dragonfly, a red tackle box stocked with lures — sitting above a card-rank tier of A, K, Q, J and 10 rendered as glossy 3D letters.

Two symbols carry the weight of the format. The bass fish is the SCATTER, appearing on all reels and triggering the free spins round outright. The fisherman himself is the WILD, but only once free spins begin: there he appears on every reel, substituting for anything except the scatter.

Every colourful fish symbol is also a MONEY symbol. Each time one lands, it is assigned a random value from a fixed table, and that value is what the free spins round is built to collect.

"The fish are never just symbols here — each one is a number waiting to be collected, and the free spins round is really a race to reach it before the reels stop paying." — Reel Kingdom Review Desk, house style note

The free spins round, step by step

Field notes

  1. Land 3, 4 or 5 SCATTER symbols in the base game to trigger free spins — the count decides the length of the round.
  2. 3 scatters award 10 free spins, 4 scatters award 15, and 5 scatters award 20.
  3. Through the round, the fisherman WILD appears on every reel and substitutes for all symbols except the scatter.
  4. Each WILD that lands collects every MONEY value currently showing on the fish symbols on screen.
  5. Every 4th WILD collected retriggers the feature, adding 10 more free spins and raising the collection multiplier: 2x at the second level, 3x at the third, 10x at the fourth.
  6. The ladder stops at the fourth level — no further retriggers are available after that point.
04

Buying in and the win ceiling

Players who would rather skip the scatter hunt can buy the free spins round directly for 100x the current total bet. The triggering spin then lands 3, 4 or 5 scatters at random, so the length of the purchased round is not fixed in advance.

Every round, bought or earned, is capped at the same ceiling: a total win of 5000x bet ends the round immediately, pays out, and forfeits any free spins left unplayed. It is a hard stop, not a soft one, and it applies equally whether the round started from a natural trigger or a purchase.
